Welcome to the 2009 Kindervelt Walk of Trees & Wreaths Online Auction Site!

Walk of Trees & Wreaths is an exciting area of Kinderklaus Gala and Markt where local groups set up and decorate beautiful, sometimes over-the-top trees and wreaths and auction them off to support Children's Hospital. This year once again those in and around the Greater Cincinnati area who aren't able to attend one or both events can bid by phone or email on the beautiful fully-decorated trees and wreaths created and donated by our local groups. All proceeds from sales of trees go to support Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

About This Project

Kindervelt of CCHMC raises funds for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Each year our biggest project is Kinderklaus Markt, which kicks off with a Gala Celebration on Friday night and is followed Saturday by a fair during which local groups display and sell handmade products and homemade goodies to members of the community who turn out by the thousand to show their support for Children's Hospital. Kinderklaus Gala will be held at Receptions of Loveland in Loveland, OH on Friday November 6th from 6:30 - 11:00pm. Kinderklaus Markt will follow on Saturday November 7th 9:30am - 3:00pm.

View the trees and wreaths in person at Receptions of Loveland from noon Wednesday November 4th thru 3pm Friday November 6th. (There is no charge for entry during these hours.)

Photos of the trees will be posted as we receive them, with all trees photographed by Thursday November 6th, so bookmark this site and check back often. Bidding starts November 1st.

Trees five feet tall and over will be delivered within a fifty-mile radius of Loveland, OH. Trees under five feet must be picked up by the winning bidder by 3:00 Saturday, November 7th, at Receptions in Loveland.

Auction Rules

1. All bidders must have a bid number. Bid numbers can only be given out in exchange for a valid phone number or credit card number. To receive a bid number, please email the Walk of Trees chairs.
   
2. Bidding on all auctions will begin November 1st or later as information becomes available. Auctions will end before 2pm November 7th as noted in their descriptions.
3. Trees and wreaths with a reserve price will be noted as such in their description.
4. The tree & wreath lobby at Receptions of Loveland will be open for viewing auction on Wednesday November 4th noon - 6pm, Thursday November 5th 9am - 8pm, and Friday November 6th 9am - 3pm. There is no charge for entry during this period. All trees will be fully set up and decorated by 6pm Thursday November 5th.
   
5. Bids can be made by phone, text, or email. All texted and emailed bids will receive a confirmation reply to let you know your bid was received. Kindervelt Markt takes no responsibility for phone bids not received or received late due to busy signals or for emailed or texted bids received late or overlooked.
   
6. Bids can also be made in person during tree viewing hours or at Gala or Markt.
7. Bidding will be updated online at Walk of Trees. Kindervelt Markt is not responsible for delays in updates due to technical difficulties.
   
8. Proxy bids will be accepted by pre-arrangement. All proxy bidding requires a valid credit card number.
9. Except as noted, bidding shall increase in $10 minimum increments. Ending bids which do not increase the previous bid by the stated minimum shall be declared invalid and the item awarded to the underbidder.
10. In the case of a bid in the final one minute of any auction, five minutes will be added to the ending time of that auction to give the underbidder a chance to bid again.
11. Trees 5' and over can be delivered within a 50-mile radius of Loveland, OH. All others must be picked up at Receptions of Loveland by the winning bidder by 3:00 Saturday November 7th, 2009.

Q. What are 'Extras'? Do I have to pay extra for them?
A. 'Extras' are items that aren't actually attached to the tree or wreath but which come along with it if you win that item. All extras are included in the final bid; you don't have to pay any extra for them!

Q: How do I get a bidder number?
A: Just email us with your phone number and a convenient time to call!

Q: Why don't all the trees and wreaths have photos? And there's information missing!
A: Some photos won't be available until Markt Week starting November 4th, 2009, when our volunteers set up the beautiful trees they've planned. We'll post photos as they're available, along with updated information as we receive it. We'll also take more photos when the trees are set up onsite at our event site, Receptions of Loveland. Q: Can I come see my tree or wreath in person before I bid? Or before I increase my bid?
A: Yes! Starting Wednesday, November 4th, you can come to Receptions of Loveland and see the trees -- and even bid on site! The hours the trees and wreaths will be available for bidding are:

• Wednesday November 4th noon - 6pm
• Thursday November 5th 9am - 8pm
• Friday November 6th 9am - 3pm

There is no charge for entry during this period. All trees and wreaths will be fully set up and decorated by 6pm Thursday November 5th, so Thursday evening or anytime Friday will be the best chance to see all trees fully decorated. And you can always plan to attend Gala or Markt and see the trees while you attend the big events!
